T stands for... Gerda Taro, M&M Creative Girls, TioT & AJJ

Hola Corazones,

Hoy ha refrescado algo más que ayer por aquí, tenemos 15 ºC, aunque se está agustito en el sol, eso sí.

Hoy os traigo una página de Art journal dedicada a  Gerta Pohorylle, también Gerda Taro una valiente fotógrafa alemana,  cuya vida fue muy corta pero intensa. Este es mi Daf de octubre para M&M Creative Girls en FB con Mila y Montse, y podréis admirar otras versiones en el grupo, todas fantásticas.

Con mi página participo en el fabuloso reto de Try it on Tuesday : " What a cutie/ Make someone smile today " (Die cut y hacer sonreir a alguien hoy). Yo he optado por usar die cut.
También participo en Art Journal Journey, cuyo fantástico tema nos lo trae Jo  y es : " Something new " ( algo nuevo ), y lo nuevo es que he empezado una bolsa de diecut, con flores.

Por supuesto,  me tomo un té con Bleubeard & Elizabeth, y las maravillosas personas del T-gang, en T stands for Tuesday.  Feliz día del té !

It´s cold today here, somewhat more than yesterday, we have 15ºC, although it is very good to be at the sun, yes.

Today I bring you an Art journal page dedicated to  Gerta Pohorylle, also Gerda Taro, a brave German photographer, whose life was very short but intense. This is my  Daf from  October for  M&M Creative Girls in FB with Mila and Montse, and you can admire other versions in the group, all fantastic.

Wit my page I participate in the fabulous challenge of Try it on Tuesday : "What a cutie / Make someone smile today ". I have chosen to use die cut.

I also participate in Art Journal Journey, whose fantastic theme this month is from Jo : "Something new ", and my new thing is that I have started a diecut bag, with flowers.

O course, I have tea with Bleubeard & Elizabeth, and the wonderful people of T-gang, at T stands for Tuesday.  Happy T-day !

He creado esta página cubriendo el fondo con pintura chalk pain en verde, beige y rosa. Luego he pegado un trozo de tela pintado y con acrílicas y esténciles, he añadido sellos de mariposas, y encima un trocito de papel scrap y  la foto sobre cartulina roja. He pegado un die cut de una flor, y he recortado otra. Para terminar, he escrito las palabras y remarcado los bordes de la página con oil pastel de Prima, en colores naranja y rojo.

I have created this page by covering the background with chalk paint,  in green, beige and pink. Then I have glued a piece of fabric painted with acrylics and stencils,  I have added a butterflies stamp, and a bit of scrap,  and the photograph on red cardboard. I added also a die cut flower, and cut another yellow flower.  Endly, I have written the words, and highlighted the edges of the page with prima oil pastel, in orange and red colours.

T stands for ... Kathrine Switzer

Hola Corazones ,

Hace bastante tiempo que no paso por el blog, y os pido disculpas, he estado muy ocupada preparando cositas para navidad, en particular bufandas de lana para el invierno, he hecho unas cuantas, y sigo haciendo más, porque el frío ha llegado por esta parte del mundo, y ciertamente las bufandas vienen muy bien. A ver si pongo unas cuantas fotos.

También os traigo mi Daf de septiembre, también con algo de retraso, pero Mila y Montse lo apreciarán, estoy segura. Se trata de Kathrine Switzer, la primera mujer en participar en una maratón con hombres, una  luchadora nata, y un gran ejemplo para todas las mujeres, para que siempre sigamos luchando por la igualdad entre hombres y  mujeres, porque somos todas unas auténticas luchadoras, en todos los aspectos. Hoy es lunes, y me tomo un té con Bleubeard & Elizabeth, que hace tiempo que no me lo tomo, y mañana me tomaré otro 😍😍, junto con las maravillosas personas del T-gang, vigiladas de cerca por el guapísimo Bleubeard, Happy T-day !! It´s been a long time since I went through the blog, and I apologize. I´ve been busy preparing things for Christmas, specially wool scarves for winter. I´ve done a few, and I´m still doing more, because the cold has come through this part of the world, and certainly scarves are welcome. Let´s see if I can show you some photographs.

I also bring you my Daf for September, a little bit late well, but Mila and Montse will appreciate it, I´m sure. This Kathrine Switzer, the first woman who participatedin a marathon with men, a born fighter, and a great example for all women, so that we always continue fighting for equality between men and women, because we are all true fighters, in all the aspects. Today it´s Monday, and I take a tea with Bleubeard & Elizabeth, which I have not had for a long time, and tomorrow I´ll have another one 😍😍, together with the wonderful people of the T-party, closely watched by the beautiful Bleubeard, Happy T-day !! He creado esta página con gesso para el fondo, así como pinturas acrílicas con esténciles, cartulina azul, puntilla, y encima la foto. Las palabras con rotulador permanente negro sobre cartulina.
I ´ve created this page wint gesso for the background, then acrylic paints with stencils, cardtock, lace  and the photograph. I wrote the words with a black permanent marker... no tengas miedo ! Don´t be afraid !

Wangari Maathai - M&M Creative Girls

Hola Corazones,

Espero que esta semana haya sido maravillosa para todo el mundo, aquí con mucho calor ya, se nota el veranito !

Hoy os traigo mi versión del Daf  de mayo que propusieron Mila y Montse de M&M Creative Girls en FB. Esta gran mujer de Kenia fue una gran política y ecologista, y luchó siempre por un desarrollo sostenible, además obtuvo  en 2004 el premio Nobel de la Paz. Os invito a visitar los blogs de estas grandes Artistas, porque os encantarán!

He creado esta página  aplicando una capa de varias acrílicas en tonos verdes y blando con pincel. Una vez seco, he usado un esténcil de hojas con pinturas acrílicas en verde y amarillo. Luego he añadido la foto  sobre un trozo de cartón para elevarla un poco,  y la he bordeado con lápices marrón y negro.  He elevado tres árboles, saliendo de la foto, con bolígrafos gel con glitter, en negro, marrón y gris. He sellado ramas con tinta Stazón negra  y sello de silicona.. En la parte inferior, he pegado papel crepon verde y amarillo, pistilos de plástico, un trozo de tela y un washi tape que me regalaron. Finalmente he añadido gotas de pintura acrílica naranja y blanca en los pistilos y en los árboles, luego un poco de amarilla también. Espero que os guste. Besotillos.

Para crear esta página, he puesto una capa fina de gesso como base, luego he usado esténciles y pinturas acrílicas, y lana, puntilla y las fotos , a las que he pegado trozos de cartón para elevarlas un poco. Sencilla, pero me gusta mucho cómo ha quedado.

To create this page, I have put a thin layer of gesso on the base, then, I have used stencils and acrylic paints. Let it dry, and add  wool, lace, and the photographs, to which I have stuck two pieces of cardboard to raise them a little. Simple, but I really like the result.

Louise Bourgeois & T stands for Big mug

Hola Corazones,

Espero que tengáis una bonita semana, por aquí cayeron unas gotitas ayer y el domingo, poca cosa, pero menos es nada verdad ? A ver si hay suerte y llueve algo más.

Hoy os traigo mi versión del Daf que no proponen Mila & Montse para M&M Creative Girls de FB, y que trata de Louise Bourgeois, famosa sobre todo por sus esculturas de arañas, animalitos que me asustan enormemente. Os invito a visitar sus fantásticos blogs, así como la página de FB, porque os maravillarán.

Hoy es martes, y también me tomo mi té con Elizabeth y las chicas,  siempre charlando relajadamente sobre multitud de cosas, y os invito a visitar sus blogs, os sorprenderán.

I hope you are having a nice week, here yesterday and Sunday too, we had some rain, very little, but less is nothing , isn´t it ? Let´s see if with some chance, it rains a little more.

 Cómo lo he creado :
1- Aplico primero una fina capa de gesso sobre la página, y cuando está seca, voy dando finas capas de diferentes colores de acrílicas, con pincel y esponja.
2- Luego  añado el color morado con un esténcil, y después voy dando brochazos pequeños de pintura acrílica blanca.
3- Cuando todo ha secado, hago pequeños círculos de diversos colores de  water soluble oil pastels de Prima, me están gustando mucho cómo quedan, y remarco los bordes de la página con estos mismos pastels en color negro.
4- Luego recorto la foto y la pego sobre un trocito de cartón de una caja de galletas pintado con acrílica amarilla, vuelvo a recortar, y remarco los bordes con pintura metalizada violeta.
5- Para terminar pego unos trocitos de lana a un botón morado y éste a la página, y, como sobresale unas gotas de silicona caliente por los agujeros del botón, pues le aplico pintura metalizada violeta, y de esta forma, parecen los ojos de la araña. :) y, ya puesta, un poco más de pintura metalizada para el cuerpo, brrrr, qué miedo !

How I have created it :
1- First I apply a thin layer of gesso on the page, and when it is dry, I apply thin layers of  acrylic colours, with paintbrush and sponge.
2- Then I add the purple colour with a stencil,  and give small touches of white acrylic paint.
3- When everything has dried, I  make small circles with water soluble oil pastels crayons of Prima. I really like them a lot. Then I also edge the borders with these same crayons, black crayon.
4- Then I cut the photograph and I stick it on a cardboard from a cookie box, painted with yellow acrylic, I cut it again, and I mark the edges with violet metallic paint.
5- Endly, I stick some pieces of whole to a purple button, and this one to the top of the page. Then, as I see some drops os hot silicone that  stand out from the  holes of the button, I  apply some metallic paint over them, as they look like  the spider´s eyes :)   and also put some paint for the body, brrrrr.... so scary !

 Aquí se ven los "ojos" de la araña, el cuerpo, y... alguna tela de araña también.

This is my tea for today : green tea and poleo menta.

Mi mug de hoy está entre el vaso floreado y el de los gatos.
My mug today is between the flower´s glass and this one with cats.

Mi ensaladilla rusa : patatas, zanahorias, judías verdes, pepinillos en vinagre, huevos y aceitunas.
My russian  salad : potatoes, carrots, green beans, pickled cucumbers, eggs, olives.




T stands for Tuesday :

Mi perro encontró un nido caído, no había ningún huevo dentro, menos mal.
My dog found a fallen nest, there was no egg inside, thank goodness.

De paseo por un parque.
