Hola Corazones,

Hoy es el último día de abril,  y se nos hace cuesta arriba este mes también, con todo lo que estamos viviendo en todos los países del mundo, llorando a todos los que nos han dejado, y animando a todos los que están luchando contra el Covid-19. Todos nuestros corazones están unidos para seguir viviendo con esperanza. Eso mismo he querido transmitir en esta página de art journal, la unión y la esperanza, para que pronto consigamos tener, todos, una vida mejor, protegiendo, por supuesto, a todas las formas de vida de nuestra casa, nuestro querido planeta.

Today is the last day of April, and  we are uphill this month too, with everything we are experiencing in all the countries of the world, crying for all those who have left us, and cheering for all those who are fighting against Covid-19. All our hearts are united to continue living with hope. That is what I wanted to transmit in this art journal page, the union and the hope, so that very soon, we can all have a better life, protecting, of course, all the life forms of our house, our beloved planet.

Para crear esta página he usado ceras de distintos colores para el fondo, encima he pegado los corazones  y las palabras que he recortado de un bonito papel de regalo y luego he estampado varios sellos de corazones y un tallo con hojas aleatoriamente, y un corazón  dentro del corazón rojo. Finalmente he rellenado con boligrafos de gel con purpurina  algunas partes de los corazones sellados. Una página sencilla pero llena de esperanza.

I have created this page usind crayons of different colours for the background, then I have glued the hearts and the words cuted from a beautiful present paper. After that I have stamped some hearts and tige with leaves  randomly, and a heart inside the red one. Finally, I have filled with a glitter gel pen, some parts of the stamped hearts. A simple page, but full of hope.

Hola Corazones,

Este mes Art Journal Journey tiene a Valerie de Bastelmania, como Diseñadora Invitada, y el tema que nos proponen es Geometric Shapes (formas geométricas). Yo he creado una página de Art journal con algunas formas geométricas, justo a tiempo, puesto que mañana acaba este fantástico reto. He creado esta página con un papel de scrap como base, y encima he pegado trocitos de papel de scrap y restos de pintura. Unos son triángulos, otros cuadrados, círculos, rectángulos... formas geométricas. He recortado una foto de  unos pequeños protagonistas de la película "Dentro del laberinto " con David Bowie y Jennifer Connelly de actores principales, y finalmente he escrito el sentimiento : Wait for the right way (espera para coger el camino correcto)

I have created this page with scrap paper for the background, then I have glued bits of scrap papers y painted papers. Some of them are triangles, squares, circles, rectangles... geometric shapes. I have cut a photograph of some little protagonists of the movie The Labyrinth, with the main actors David Bowie and Jennifer Connelly. Finally I have written the sentiment : Wait for the right way.

Black and White + 1 colour

Hola Corazones,

Thank you for dropping by.  I´m delighted to have been asked to be the Guest Designer at Try it on Tuesday for the next two weeks.  Thank you very much Avril and all the wonderful ladies of the Designer Team. The fabulous theme for this new challenge is : Black and White + 1 colour, so, as long as you use those three colours, you can make anything you want. Please, click over there to see  the wonderful beauties that has created the Tiots´Team, you ´ll love them for sure.

I am looking forward to seeing your fantastic Art, and  this is my inspiration to get you started, I have chosen purple as my third colour.

Estoy encantada de ser la Diseñadora invitada en Try it on Tuesday para las próximas dos semanas.  Doy las gracias a Avril y a las maravillosas mujeres del Equipo de Diseño. El fabuloso tema de este nuevo reto es : Negro y Blanco + 1 color, pudiendo  usar estos tres colores para crear lo que se quiera. Os invito a admirar las bellísimas creaciones de las DT de Tiot aquí, os encantarán estoy segura.

Estaré encantada de poder disfrutar de vuestro fantástico Arte, y aquí os muestro mi inspiración, he elegido el morado como tercer color.

Aquí un paso a paso de cómo he creado la tarjeta
Here a step by step of how I have created the card

First I have chosen some scrap papers in black, white and purple, some with drawings and others without . I have cut them, tearing off some edges with scissors and glued them.  I have also incorporated a black lace on the left side. I have prepared white lace and a piece of fabric too.

Primero he elegido algunos papeles de scrap en negro, blanco, morado, algunos con dibujo y otros lisos. Los he cortado, rasgando algunos bordes con las tijeras, y los he pegado, poniendo también una puntilla negra en el lado izquierdo. He preparado puntilla blanca y un trozo de tela blanca también.

Then I have prepared some things more, as black thread, paper flowers, buttons, butterflies, and die cut. I have tied the black thread, with two purple pearls,  around the first layers before gluying them to the card. Then, I have glued the bit of white fabric, the papers flowers, the butterfly, the white lace, the clock, the buttons, the white pearl and the flower with glitter. The sentiment is a stamp on purple scrap paper.

Luego he preparado otras cosas para añadir a la tarjeta, como hilo negro, flores de papel, botones, mariposas en pegatinas y algunos die cut. He liado el hilo negro con dos perlas moradas a las primeras capas  antes de pegarlas a la tarjeta. Y he ido pegando el trozo de tela blanca, las flores de papel, la mariposa, la puntilla blanca, el reloj, los botones, la perla blanca y la flor con glitter. El sentimiento es un sello sobre papel de scrap morado.

Finally I have put gel matte Liquitex over the card, mainly on the flowers, and I have  covered purple glitter and black pearls.
Finalmente he puesto un poco de gel matte Liquitex sobre la tarjeta, principalmente las flores, y he echado encima purpurinas moradas y perlitas negras.

T stands for... Have fun with stencils

Hola Corazones,

Mucho calor hoy por aquí, y desde ayer los niños ya pueden salir a pasear o correr una hora al día, me pregunto si será lo correcto, porque las cifras oficiales todavía no han bajado mucho. Esperemos que todo salga bien.

Precisamente ahora me estoy tomando un té verde con menta, y  me uno a Bleubeard & Elizabeth  de Altered Book Lover, y al fantástico T-party gang, para saborearlo, sí si !  son excepcionales !!Si os queréis unir, estáis invitados!   Happy T-day ! (Feliz día del té !).

Today is a very hot day here, and since yesterday the children can go for a walk or run an hour a day, I wonder if it is the right thing to do, because the official data have not yet dropped so much. Hopefully everything goes well.

Right now I am having a green tea with mint, and I join Bleubeard & Elizabeth from Altered Book Lover, and the fantastic T-party gang, to savor it, yes yes, they are exceptional ! If you want to join, you are invited ! Happy T-day !

He creado esta tarjeta con tres cartulinas de colores en la base, y encima papel de acuarela, con toques de esmalte de uñas y unos esténciles con acrílicas azul, rosa y amarillo.  He remarcado los bordes con cera violeta y después con un bolígrafo de gel con purpurina morado también. Después he pegado un trocito de puntilla, un pequeño tag de cartulina pintado con acrílicas y un sello de texto. He añadido un trozo de tela beige, un pétalo rojo, unas flores de papel, un par de mariposas de hojas de libro viejo, pintadas con témpera morada, el sentimiento die cut, y unas perlitas.

I have created this card with three cardstocks at the base,  then a watercolour paper with touches of nail polish, and some stencils with blue, pink and yellow acrylics.  I have highlighted the edges with a purple crayon, and then with a  purple glitter gel pen. Then I glued a piece of lace, a small cardboard tag painted with acrylics and a text stamped.  I have added a little piece of beige fabric, a red petal, some paper flowers, a couple of butterflies from old book sheets,  and painted with purple témpera.  Finally I added the  diecut feeling and some pearls.

El ficus centenario, de finales del siglo XIX, procedente de la India. Su nombre es Laurel de India y está situado en el Paseo de Almería, en el centro de la ciudad, Precioso !
The centennial old ficus, from the end of XIX century,  from India. Its name is Laurel de India, and  lives  in Paseo de Almería, in the city center, spectacular !

Nuts nuts

Hola Corazones,

Espero que estéis todos bien, preparando el fin de semana, aunque sea algo rutinario desde casa. Por aquí el tiempo está algo revuelto, con nubes que amenazan con descargar lluvia, lo que, por otra parte, necesitamos. Cuídense mucho !

Hoy os traigo una página de Art journal, con pequeñas y furtivas ardillas.  Para crear las hojas, puse una página de papel blanco sobre unas hojas secas, y presioné un poco con lápices de colores,  para que el dibujo de las hojas apareciera. Como cuando ponemos un trozo de papel sobre una moneda y pasamos un lápiz por encima, luego aparece el dibujo de la moneda, pues esto es igual, solo que no hay que apretar mucho el lápiz sobre el papel, porque podrían romperse las hojas (de los árboles), solo presionar suavemente repetidas veces.
Luego recorté y pegué  sobre el Art journal, tanto las hojas como las imágenes de las ardillas. Dibujé un contorno con diferentes colores de Oil pastel de prima, hasta que me gustó el resultado. Finalmente, añadí un sello con el sentimiento.

I hope you are all well, preparing the weekend, although it is something routine from home. Around here, the weather is a bit messy, with clouds that threaten to discharge rain, which, on the other hand, we need. Stay safe and well !

Today I bring you an Art journal page, with small and sneaky squirrels. To create the leaves, I put a page of white normal paper on some dry leaves, and pressed a little with coloured pencils, so that the drawing of the leaves appeared. Like when we put a piece of paper over a coin and pass a pencil on it, then the drawing of the coin appears. So this is the same, only you don´t have to press the pencil too much on the paper, because the leaves could break, just gently press repeatedly.
Then, I cut and glued both, the leaves and the images of the squirrels on the Art journal. I drew a contour with different colours of Prima oil pastel, until I liked the result. Finally, I added a stamp with the sentiment.

Flowerfly

Hola Corazones,

Hoy domingo  algo nublado y lluvioso, y, desde casa, disfrutando de esos pequeños pero grandiosos momentos. Ya mismo toca cenar.

Hoy os traigo una tarjeta hecha con acuarelas sobre un papel de acuarela de 200 g. Una vez seca la pintura, he añadido un sello de una mariposa y otro de hojas y flores, y finalmente el sentimiento.

Feliz noche !

La parte roja de la flor la he hecho con un pincel de abanico, dándole movimiento.
