Espero que vuestra semana haya empezado muy bien, por aquí, el domingo fue día de elecciones generales, y votamos para elegir a un nuevo presidente del gobierno. El vencedor de las elecciones ha sido el actual presidente Pedro Sánchez, del Partido Socialista, aún así, tendrá que pactar con otros partidos políticos si quiere gobernar. Ya veremos qué pasa.
Estoy muy honrada de ser la diseñadora invitada durante las próximas dos semanas para Try it on Tuesday, con el fantástico tema propuesto : " Things with Wings " (cosas con alas). Quiero agradecer a Avril y a las maravillosas mujeres del equipo de diseño, esta magnífica y especial oportunidad. Os invito a visitar los blogs de estas grandes artistas, porque están llenos de arte y os encantarán. Yo he creado un canvas, dónde no solo la mente, sino también el corazón tienen ... alas !

I hope your week has a very good begining, around here, Sunday was the day of general elections, and we voted to elect a new president of the government. The winner of the elections has been the current president Pedro Sánchez of the Socialist Party, even so, he will have to agree with other political parties, if he wants to govern. We shall see what happens.
I am very honored to be the guest designer for the next two weeks, at Try it on Tuesday, with the fantastique theme proposed : " Things with Wings ". Un corazón alado con mucho brillo !

He creado este canvas como sigue :
1- Primero pongo varios puntos de pintura acrílica de un color sobre el canvas y luego extiendo con una espátula, y espero a que se seque un poco antes de aplicar otro color, amarillo, rosa, fuscia, morado, naranja, blanco, y un poco más de morado, sobre todo por los bordes.
2- Mientras se seca, corto una mariposa de plástico en dos, le aplico una capa de gesso y la pinto con acrílica turquesa. Corto también un corazón en un cartón de empaquetar, y le pego las alas y muchos adornos, flores de ganchillo, piezas de madera y metálicas, botones, cadenitas y perlas.
3- Al corazón con adornos, le aplico una capa de gesso, y una vez seco, una capa de acrílicas rosa y blanco. Después unos toques de acrílica metalizada morada y rosa, y finalmente, pintura color oro.
4- Sobre las alas, le aplico pintura metalizada azul muy superficialmente, y adorno con pegamento verde con purpurina.
5- Aplico pegamento con purpurina, color oro y rosa en los adornos del corazón, y añado glitter.
6- Para terminar, pego un trocito de gasa pulverizada con acrílica amarilla, sobre el canvas, y encima mi corazón alado, un poquito más de glitter sobre la gasa y lista mi versión ! Espero que os guste.

I have created this canvas as following :
1- I put several dots of acrylic paint of one colour over the canvas and spread with a palette, and wait for it to dry a little bit before applying another colour, yellow, ping fuscia, purple, orange, white, then more purple, specially around the edges.
2- While drying, I cut a plastic butterfly in two parts, I apply a layer of gesso, and then I paint it with turquoise acrylic. I also cut a heart in a packing carton, and I glue the wings and many embellishments, crocheted flowers, pieces of wood and metal, buttons, chains and pearls.
3- I apply a layer of gesso to the heart, and once dry, a layer of pink and white acrylics. Then, a few touches of metallic acylic in purple and pink, and finally gold paint.
4- On the wings, I apply blue metallic paint, very superficially, and then, green glue with glitter.
5- I apply gold and pink glue with glitter over the heart´s embellishments, and glitter- paillettes.
6- After that, I glue a piece of gauze powder with yellow acrylic, on the canvas, and on the top, my winged heart, just add a little more glitter-paillettes on the gauze and my version is now completely finished. I hope you like it.

After the layer of gesso, I apply another layer of pink and white acrylics.
