Estoy algo perdida estos días, más pensando en el viaje de mi hijo a Nueva York, y pendiente de otras cosillas, que del arte. Se fueron la semana pasada volando desde Barcelona a Boston y luego en bus hasta Nueva York, pasándoselo de maravilla - me cuentan ! Unos días inolvidables, con todo programado. Hoy están de vuelta, ya en Boston, para coger el vuelo de regreso a España esta noche, aquí será ya de madrugada. No obstante, he tenido tiempo de crear una página de Art journal, inspirada en dos retos, el primero en la propuesta de Erika para Art Journal Journey : "Vintage or modern", y el segundo en la propuesta de Alison para Try it on Tuesday : "Thankful".
Siempre agradecida, cada día que pasa, por tantas cosas hermosas que pasan en la vida, y, siempre con ilusión por el momento presente, futuro del ayer y pasado del mañana!!

He creado esta página primero con una capa de gesso no muy gruesa, pinturas acrílicas rosa y blanco, mezclando por algunas zonas, y pintando corazones y escribiendo con bolígrafos de colores. El rostro de la chica lo he dibujado sobre papel de acuarela con pluma y tinta de Jane Davenport en tono azul y rojo, se pueden activar con agua. He usado ceras pastel, oil, y pinceles acuarelables para las flores, los corazones, y parte del rostro. La mariposa la he recortado en acetado y pintado con acrílicas, luego añadí glitter, El corazón rosa fuscia también está hecho con acetado y acrílicas, luego pintado con bolígrafos. La flor grande, con papel de acuarela blanco y pintada con acrílicas y bolígrafos. El sentimiento recortado, añadido un trocito de tela beige, y las flores amarillas, pintadas con rotuladores acuarelables con punta pincel. Espero que os guste, besotillos.

I hope your son had a great trip to NY and got to see some of Boston too. It is also a great city. Do you live near Barcelona? I have been there and it is a beautiful and fascinating city. I love your page too. The girl looks sad but also a little hopeful. I think making her in blue really intensifies those emotions. Nice hearts and additions too. EliminarYes, my son had a wonderful trip to NY, they were fascinated by this town and could visit many places, Times Square, Empire State, Central park, Brooklyn bridge, Chinatown, Memorial 11S, 5th Avenue, the statue of Liberty... two tours.... and at Boston, the Mit, center financial buildings, Boston Common Park, another park, Quincy market, and didn´t have more time there. They arrived one hour later due to the change of winter time in USA. But all was amazing ! We live in Almería, at the south east of Spain, it´s a seaside town, and it´s true that Barcelona is a lovely city.
