T stands..... a face for AJJ

 Hola Corazones,

Espero que estéis pasando una buena semana, pese a las circunstancias que nos envuelven a todos, en concreto esta dura pandemia, y también los tambores de guerra que se oyen en  el este de Europa, fruto de los fracasos contínuos de los dirigentes y los políticos. Solo deseo que lleguen a una solución pacífica por el bien de la humanidad.

Hoy os traigo una página de art journal con la que participo en el reto ofrecido por Erika de BioArtGal para Art Journal Journey, y cuyo tema es  Let´s Face it. También me tomo un té con Bleubeard & Elizabeth, de Altered Book Lover y el fantástico equipo del Té. Os invito a visitar sus magníficos blogs, os encantarán.

I hope you are having a good week, despite the circumstances that surround us all, specifically this harsh pandemic, and also the war drums that are being heard in Eastern Europe, the result of the continuous failures of leaders and politicians . I only wish that they reach a peaceful solution for the good of humanity.

Today I bring you an art journal page with which I participate in the challenge offered by Erika from BioArtGal for Art Journal Journey, and whose theme is Let's Face it. Primero he pegado un trozo de papel de regalo con dibujos de animales para el fondo, he coloreado con crayons pastel algunas zonas en amarillo rojo y morado. Luego he dibujado una niña en una maceta y la he coloreado con lápices de colores normales, he recortado el dibujo y lo he pegado a la página. Luego  he dibujado flores y corazones con bolígrafo violeta y he bordeado toda la página. finalmente he escrito el sentimiento con el mismo bolígrafo bic violeta. 

First I have glued a piece of wrapping paper with drawings of animals for the background, I have coloured with pastel crayons some areas in yellow, red and purple. Then I have drawn a girl in a pot and coloured it with regular coloured pencils, cut out the drawing and glued it to the page. Then I have drawn flowers and hearts with purple pen and I have bordered the whole page. I have finally written the sentiment with the same violet bic pen.

Y para el T-party, una cena de picoteo, aceitunas, jamón serrano, queso, tortilla, empanadilla y saladitos, acompañado por vino tinto.

And for the T-party, a snack dinner,   olives,  serrano ham, cheese, tortilla, empanadilla and  salty bits, with red wine.

Refresco especial para niños, hecho por el  niño de una amiga mía, con zume de naranja, rodajas de limón y naranja, uva y azúcar.

Special drink for children, made by a friend's child, with orange juice, lemon and orange slices, grapes and sugar.

T stands for...... Stitch

 Hola Corazones,

Hoy soleado por aquí, aunque yo sigo teniendo bastante frío ! Y me quiero tomar otro té, aunque  sea jueves,  siempre apetece tomarse un té. Y apetece aún más con Bleubeard & Elizabeth, de Altered Book Lover, y el fantástico equipo de la fiesta del Té. Para ello también os enseño una tarjeta de cumpleaños que hice para mi hijo, pero para su penúltimo cumpleaños,  y se me olvidó enseñarla. Pues aquí está. Today it´s sunny here, although I'm still quite cold! And I want to have another tea, even if it's Thursday, you always want to have a tea. And even more with Bleubeard & Elizabeth, from Altered Book Lover,  and the amazing Tea Party team. For this I also show you a birthday card that I made for my son, but for his penultimate birthday, and I forgot to show it. Well here it is. Happy T-day  !  (belated,  sorry). He creado esta tarjeta con cartulina marrón y papel de scrap impreso para el fondo, luego añadí cartulina blanca con los bordes distresados, así como una mini tarjeta sobre cartulina blanca,  un tag con dibujo de un mapa, un cordoncito, un reloj, todo distresado, y por último añadí el sentimiento con un rotulador permanente negro. Para que tuviera ese efecto 3D, pegué un trocito de cartón debajo del tag y de la cartulina blanca.

I created this card with brown cardstock and a  printed scrap paper for the background, then I added white cardstock with distressed edges, as well as a mini card on white cardstock, a map tag, a lace, a clock, all distressed , and finally I added the sentiment with a black permanent marker. To get this 3D effect, I glued a piece of cardboard under the tag and the white cardboard too.

Y aquí Cynthia, la niña pequeña de mi sobrina Caty, nos muestra la preciosa pintura que ha creado de Stitch, en su nuevo cuaderno de acuarela. Es impresionante ! Tiene mucho talento, al igual que su hermana mayor Sheila y su madre también.

And here Cynthia, my niece Caty's little girl, shows us the beautiful painting she has created of Stitch, in her new watercolour book. Is awesome ! She is very talented, as is her older sister Sheila and her mother too.

Pajarito sobre una corazón naranja

 Hola Corazones,

Espero que estéis disfrutando de esta semana, por aquí tenemos un clima agradable ( algo frío para mí jaja 15 ºC hoy) pero Enero se presenta templado, apenas ha llovido, y eso lo echo mucho de menos.

La tarjeta que os traigo hoy es scrap, del estilo de las anteriores, reciclando cualquier detallito. 

Me gusta mucho ese pajarito.

Sáhara es una gatita feliz.

T stands for ... Luna del Sáhara

 Hola Corazones,

Espero que vuestra semana sea muy buena, llena de buenos momentos y felicidad. Seguramente recordareis una foto de una gatita que estába dentro de un instituto, pues ahora os voy a contar su historia. Pero antes, os enseño esta tarjeta de felicitación scrapera, al estilo de las anteriores. I hope your week is very good, full of good times and happiness. Surely you will remember a photo of a kitten that was inside an institute,  now I am going to tell you her story. Para acompañar en la fiesta del Té, un café con leche y un trocito de roscón de reyes (ya no queda jaja)

I take a coffee with milk with the T-gang, and a piece of Roscón de reyes, specially done for the day of the 3 kings (Reyes Magos, 6 th of January here). If there´s the king inside, you put on the crown.

Por el verano de 2020, mi hijo y yo llevábamos comida a una gata todas las noches. Vivía dentro de un instituto. En esta foto había engordado, cuando la vimos por primera vez, estába muy delgada, parecía un cachorro. Casí siempre había un gato o dos con ella, y no siempre podía comer. Mi hijo consiguió acariciarla, y prefería las caricias a la comida, y con el tiempo pudo cogerla en brazos un poquito. Siempre se nos quedaba mirando cuando nos íbamos. El 26 de noviembre, después de hablarlo, mi hijo se trajo a la gatita a casa ♥

During the Summer 2020, my son and I brought food to a cat every night. She lived inside an institute. In this photo she had gotten fat, when we saw her for the first time, she was very thin, she looked like a puppy. There was almost always a cat or two with her, and she couldn't always eat. My son managed to caress her, and she preferred his caresses to the food, and in time he was able to hold her in his arms a little bit. She always stared at us when we left. On the 26th November, after talking about it, my son brought the kitten home ♥

El la llevó al veterinario al día siguiente, y allí le dijeron que estába bien de salud, y le pusieron una inyección para los parásitos. Y.... Oohh sorpresa !  tenía un microchip !! Entonces el veterinario se puso en contacto con su dueña, y resulta que la gata se había perdido en septiembre del 2014, y ha estado 6 años viviendo en la calle !  Su primera dueña dijo que no se podía hacerse cargo de la gata, porque ya tenía dos gatos más. Mi hijo estába muy feliz por eso, y cambiaron los datos del microchip. La gata se llamaba Luna, y mi hijo le puso el nombre de Sáhara, por el pelo tan bonito que tiene. Yo la llamo Sáhara,  Luna del Sáhara, y a veces Mini, que era como la llamaba cuando estába en la calle.

He took her to the vet the next day, and there they told him she was in good health, and they put her an injection for the parasites. And .... Oohh surprise! she had a microchip !! Then the vet contacted her first  owner, and it turns out that the cat was lost in September 2014, and she has been living on the streets for 6 years! Her first owner said that she could not take care of the cat, because she already had two more cats. My son was very happy about that, and they changed the data on the microchip. The cat's name was Luna (Moon), and my son called her Sahara, because of her beautiful hair. I call her Sahara, Moon of the Sahara, and sometimes Mini, as I  called her when she was on the street.

Sáhara es una gata muy muy buena y cariñosa, ella adora las caricias y siempre ronronea, sé que es feliz en casa, y la queremos mucho.

Sahara is a very very good and affectionate cat, she loves caresses and always purrs, I know she is happy at home, and we love her very much.

Sáhara y Laky son muy buenos amigos. A veces Laky está un poco celoso, pero poco.

Sahara and Laky are very good friends. Sometimes Laky is a little jealous, but just a little.

Aquí los dos con mi hijo, Both with my son.

Luna del Sáhara tomando el sol, le gusta mucho. Es una gata muy fuerte y valiente, ha sobrevivido 6 años en la calle, y estoy segura de que no ha sido una vida fácil. Bravo preciosa ♥

Moon of the Sahara  having a sunbathing, she likes it very much. She is a very strong and brave cat, she has survived 6 years on the street, and I am sure it has not been an easy life. Bravo precious ♥

Ella nació el 3 de abril del 2013,  y ahora tiene 8 años, pronto 9. En esta foto era un bebé, su primera dueña le envió unas pocas fotos a mi hijo.  Y ésta es la historia de Sáhara.

She was born on April 3rd, 2013, and  now she is 8 years old, soon 9. In this photo she was a baby, her first owner sent a few photos to my son. And this is the story of Sáhara.
